Die letzten 20 Jahre haben die traditionelle Chirurgie stark verändert. Die minimal invasiven Techniken haben sowohl dem Patienten, als auch der Volkswirtschaft sehr viel "Qualitäten" gebracht. Die Ausbildung in den neuen Verfahren und deren Ausübung sind jedoch technisch und technologisch recht anspruchsvoll geworden.
Es braucht sowohl den erfahrenen Chirurgen, als auch den Anästhesisten, Radiologen/ Ultraschallspezialisten, Neurologen,  Schmerztherapeuten oder Physiotherapeuten, etc. um in komplexeren Fällen die  beste Lösung zu finden und anzubieten. Es braucht Kommunikation untereinander um den Fortschritt mitzumachen oder gar mitgestalten zu können.
Es braucht Networking.
Diese Einstellung, das Wissen und das Können haben aus diesem zwar häufigen, aber oft bagatellisiertem Problem eine neue
Spezialisierung entstehen lassen.

The last two decades have dramatically changed the traditional surgery.
The minimal invasive techniques have brought several new "Qualities" to both the patient and the economy. Nevertheless the teaching and the performance of these techniques became technically and technologically quite demanding.   
 It needs an experienced well-trained surgeon, as well as an anesthetists, radiologist/ ultrasound specialist, neurologist, pain  therapists or physiotherapist, etc. to find and offer the best solution in complex situations. Intensive communication with exchange of experience and sharing knowledge among experts all over the world have led to birth of NetworkHernia.
It needs networking to participate in progress  or even help to create the progress.
